We know that everyone can't attend Meaka's Life Celebration and some may be in attendance but not have the time, courage or words to speak at that moment so we wanted to offer the opportunity to share a short message of love and light to our special girl or the family.
Missing link
We didn’t know that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we Loved you dearly, in death we will do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
Part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us many memories, and your love will be our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you are alway in our hearts.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
Your little big sister,
Miesha
The Journey Life is a journey and a stopping place A yellow light of pause in what’s to be A few folks in the road To peaceful and sweet eternity Together we took many journeys Experiencing fun along the way We engaged in many things But we were never there to stay Our final journey to a destination place Which we have to travel alone and go For you this journey came quicker No folks in the road, no GPS to show And when you reached your final destination You were able to rest and claim a reward To find everlasting peace At home with the Lord I love you cousin, thank you for your journey!
My girlfriend Mimi was a strong and independent person, the 2 qualities that we shared and admired most in each
other.
She respected and allowed me to be me, on the condition that I respect and allow her to be her.
One of the things we loved about each other was the fact that we were so very different, yet, we had so much in
common.
She had a warm and kind spirit that she applied to the things she loved. She loved her family, friends, and her career.
Our relationship was short, and I will miss what could have been. But her impact on my life, like our love for each
other is timeless.
The memories that we did build together I will always cherish.
She will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will love and miss her dearly.
Love and miss you babe,
Charles
Hey Cuz…walk don’t run
It’s not what you said it, it was how YOU said it…”hey cuz”
I can remember you say “hey cuz” as we entered into the door
You would smile the smile only you could and now we can’t see it anymore
So I was hoping you could walk and not run
Wishing you could spend just a little bit more time with your only begotten son!
Now that you’re gone, I know you’re in a better home and no place is more beautiful
But please walk don’t run…
Memories made over the years will bring us laughter, joy and tears
But I will live this life the way you did, with no fears!
I can hear birds chirping in the middle of the night which reminds me that God’s beauty is everywhere
You, no doubt was one of the most beautiful, I swear!
It was how high you held your head, your undeniable strength, your humble essence that I will
remember
To his plan may we all surrender…it happened so suddenly, unanticipated but like the champ you are,
you gracefully prepared your loved ones
So, I won’t question God’s plan….he has the final say and his will shall be done
And you cuz, you were a walking masterpiece so for you, I write this piece hoping the pain would seize
It was hard to put pen to paper, words to thought, but for you…I had to run and not walk!
